Cryotherapy can be used to treat a range of benign skin lesions, including skin tags, age spots, warts, seborrheic keratoses and actinic keratoses, following medical assessment to confirm that treatment is appropriate.
Cryotherapy is a generally safe and well-tolerated treatment when used appropriately. Dr Raquel Delgado will assess the lesion before treatment to confirm that cryotherapy is suitable. Possible side-effects , including temporary redness , swelling, blistering and changes in skin pigmentation , will be discussed before treatment.
Dr Raquel Delgado offers minor surgical procedures for selected skin lesions, including the removal of suitable cysts, lipomas and other superficial lesions. Each lesion is medically assessed first to determine whether removal in a minor surgery setting is appropriate or whether referral to a dermatologist or another specialist is recommended.
